Certified Rifle Centers are considered the best of the best when it comes to clubmaking and clubfitting. Rifle Centers are schooled in the FM Precision Frequency Matching System and have learned how to build golf clubs to exacting frequencies using Rifle steel shafts and Royal Grips. Successful candidates not only understand the principals behind frequency matching, but they also learn how to affect ball flight or trajectory using unique methods designed specifically for Rifle products.

TORRINGTON, CT. — America’s first steel shaft manufacturer, Royal Precision congratulates a new class of custom club makers on their successful completion of the Certified Rifle Center technical training program. The most recent graduates included Rick McKinney of Golf, Curl & More in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada.

Certified Rifle Centers are comprised of club makers and golf club repair shops which have been specially trained to install and/or repair golf clubs using Rifle-branded steel shafts. Each CRC is more technically astute compared to other club makers in a given area, and they receive quicker order fulfillment, greater access to more technical information and more personalized service.

“As far as we’re concerned, the Certified Rifle Center program is the ‘crown jewel’ of the aftermarket for Royal Precision and we are delighted that Royal Precision continues to grow the CRC program,” says Howard Miller, president of Swing Science, a strategic partner with Royal Precision in administering the CRC program. “We expanded our existing product and service offerings to include education in the form of training and certifying new club makers using the FM Precision Frequency Matching system.”

World Leader in Golf Technology
America's first steel shaft manufacturer, Royal Precision has repeatedly set benchmarks for the golf industry with one design innovation after another. Engineering breakthroughs such as Frequency Matching, MicroTaper step geometry, Rifle shaft design and Flighted Technology have truly revolutionized golf shafts.

Frequency Matching was among the first true advancements in shaft technology to completely turn around the golf industry. Developed by Royal Precision, Frequency Matching measures and defines a shaft's flex through electronic calibration so that the shaft flexes and feels the same with every swing, thus ensuring a perfectly matched set of clubs.

The next step in shaft technology came with a concept that had no steps at all. The innovative Rifle design featured a stepless steel shaft which gave golfers tighter shot dispersion, better control, greater distance with improved accuracy, and a smooth, yet solid, feel at impact. Rifle’s amazing benefits are possible through a patented internal and external 'rifling' design that transfers energy more efficiently than any other steel shaft and dramatically reduces vibration without resorting to extraneous 'shock-absorber' inserts which actually rob shafts of potency.

Another revolutionary concept that brought game-enhancing benefits was Royal Precision's unique MicroTaper Step Technology, a design that features more shallow-angled steps than what is traditionally seen. Most step designs employ steep angles, and — whenever a shaft loses outside diameter quickly over a short length— a weak point in the shaft is created. However, the MicroTaper design eliminates weak points and creates a 'step' that is more durable and more efficient at transferring energy.

Introducing yet another significant leap forward in the evolution of golf shaft technology, Royal Precision engineered and developed its own Flex Distribution Technology, a concept which has now been perfected on Tour. Rifle Flighted shaft design provides different flex points within the club set to manipulate ball flight and produce variable ball trajectories.

Through the successful application of each of these new technologies, Royal Precision has brought enjoyment to countless golfers through advanced research and cutting-edge technology...proving that America's first steel shaft manufacturer is still the best.
